Maybe Try Another Provider

I joined Flexicare in August 2023. The agent who signed me **** to me to my face, she told me I would get Vitality for free and that there was no waiting period. She said she would waive all the waiting periods. None of these things were true (the refund for Vitality has still not been processed despite the agents promising me it would be) and almost everything she said was a lie. When I called to find out who to talk to the problem was always "escalated" the agent who promised me the refund would (Andrew or Anthony) never called me again and was seemingly always busy when I called. Eventually they said that there was nothing they could do because the agents had been outsourced as if I had not requested a call back from them.

Also be ware of the fact that most of the staff at Discovery and Vitality do not seem to know the difference between Medical Insurance and Medical Aid nor do they know the different benefits. I was promise a mirage of things that would later not be accessible to me because I have insurance and not medical aid bare in mind I was told from the jump that they would be available to me. Just be careful about what they actually offer and if you're speaking to an agent who promises you everything think twice.
