Extremely Disheartened and Disappointed

My husband and i just recently visited the so called " 5 Star - Fleur de Lis Spa. " and, although my the****** was lovely, and she did an incredible job especially with my Mani and Pedi. we were sadly disappointed with a number of other things. I think the fact that i am posting this around 03h30 in the morning because i cant sleep thinking of all this, already says how deeply affected i am with everything i have learnt about this 5 Star Spa.

Firstly, I had specifically requested a treatment room with a shower. There was a reason for this!! They allocated a room with bath tub instead. When we told them that we specifically requested a room with a shower, we were told by at least 4 different the******s that those rooms were booked and that they couldnt accommodate our request. Imagine my disappointment, when after our treatments, on my way to ask at the Reception if they could please make a plan for a shower for me, i walked past an empty treatment room WITH A SHOWER!!!! So i asked a the****** if i could please just quickly use that one, and she kindly made a plan then and there to let me use the shower.

Secondly, our treatment room was cold, despite having electric blankets. When we asked if they could change the room temperature, we were told that it wasnt possible because the Air Conditioner was Centrally controlled. We left it, and continued with our treatments. The beds were so uncomfortable. They were hard, especially where you put your face through , there was no cushioning at all, and despite having a towel around it, it was quite painful. My poor husband was left with a painful red mark on his forehead for the rest of the day.

Thirdly, i overheard some other clients chatting and was horrified to hear that these poor , sweet and innocent the******s , are being underpaid and over worked. ( Yes, nothing has changed in 6 years im afraid). Heres an interesting fact: despite them having over 60 staff members, they were not given any time off to vote in our upcoming elections. Theyre expected to work right through from 08h30 to 21h30 . The clients asked if they could not at least work shifts so that they could be given time to vote. They said " No. " I had then proceeded to ask if they were given a lunch break at least . Again to which the answer was " No ". I asked when they were expected to eat lunch ( let alone breakfast and dinner ), they said that theyre lucky if they get a gap to even eat. Our hearts were broken to learn all of this. I even felt like crying for these poor women, who have to work so damn hard just to provide their families with whatever they need. Making them work from 08h30 to 21h30 with no break is just cruel!!! Some of those lovely the******s only get home after 23h30!!! Surely in general, they could work 8 hour shifts, even then , theyd be able to vote in this important upcoming election. Is it really necessary to have them all there at the same time?? To top it off, i had asked the ladies how much leave they were given a year, to which the answer was " 2 weeks". My heart just broke. When i informed my husband of all of the above after his treatments, he was furious too!!! Ive been with my husband for over 6 years, enough to know that he has the biggest heart just like mine, and it pained me to see him so upset when he learnt about how these poor women are exploited.
