Fleisherei ordered and got given expired meat packs.

Utterly disgusted to say the least.

As a family of 4, we order in bulk for at least a month or two in advance. When our supply starts running short, we put in an order for meat, to supplement the waning stock, and we work our way down. New order at the bottom of the chest, so we can clear out what we have.

I'm assuming this is how most families rationalise their meat stock, or any stock for that matter. New items goes to the back, because those should be the freshest batch in your kitchen, right?

So, when we decided to give Fleisherei a go, based on positive feedback from friends and family in Centurion (Head Office), we placed an order of over R2.5k that would potentially see us through for a month or more.

Received the goods, and having cleared the chest in preparation for this, realised that we had to throw away never R1.8k worth of meat.

Why? Because they all expired.

How can you justify, selling a bulk pack to clients, knowing all too well that they do this to see them through for a month or more, and give them stock off your shelves that has expired already? We don't order with the intent of being given your sell-by stock, we order so that we can have fresh meat out of or freezers.

Expired. I spent R2.5k and can only use about R700 thereof.

When we ordered, we asked for the meat to be vacuum sealed, in x-amount of grams/kg packets. What we got was expired, off the shelf, packed meat.

I'm not happy. Not happy at all. And I've been told how good Centurion is, well, Little Falls should rather be closed, because this is utterly unacceptable.
