Overcharged by over 250%. Don't ever use them.
On Easter Friday our DB board blew. Because we weren't at home and someone was looking after our house, I did a Google search for 24 hour electrician. They got to my house within a few hours and gave me a quote for a complete replacement of the DB board, which we accepted. With hindsight we should have got a second quote. The work was done by the evening of Easter Friday. But when I submitted the invoice to ABSA Insurance to claim for the damage I was told that the company had HUGELY OVERCHARGED me, and I got less than half the money back.

The fact that this repair was done on a public holiday as an emergency also has an effect on the pricing. Please also note that response and repair time was not that of usual electric companies and also has a effect on the pricing.
