Fixit Appliance Repairs Epping, consumers beware! What a clever business plan they have. They charge a call out fee of R295 and their inefficient and untrained technician tells us that he can’t repair our 2 year old Defy washing machine. Upon a short inspection, we were advised that we will require a new control board alternatively purchase a new machine. They don’t fix Defy control boards; hence he could not assist us. He would not leave my home without receiving the call out payment in cash. We sourced another washing machine repair company who collected the machine and their technician found a small toy ball in the drainage pipe, fixed it and returned it in perfect working order. FIXIT APPLICANCE REPAIRS technician was completely incorrect. Here’s the clever business plan! Hire a couple of ‘technicians’ to do 12 call-out’s a day, report that there is nothing they can do to assist and pick up R295 for 10 minutes work. What a ****! We have emailed them back and forth since 28th August in this regard. They promised a refund on the first email to us and thereafter have been skirting the issue. The last email received from them we were told that they have just refunded an individual R5, 000 implying what exactly… We were ****med!
