Fixitt with 2 t's . www.fixitt.co.za They use adwords and SEO optimisation to come up first in an internet search for appliance repairs and have wonderful reviews I now realise must all be **** They come out late in the afternoon much later than they said, when you know you won't have time to find any other service provider. (My fridge broke and it was full of thawing food) They dismantle your appliance on site. They then quote you. IN most cases since you are in a hurry and the appliance is already dismantled one gladly accepts even though it is exorbitant see attached (R600 for a defrost sensor and R550 for a fuse) Then they "'fix"it. Most clients would not know what they are doing and they sure act as if they do. BUt they fix nothing. Half hour after theyl'd gone appliance may switch on as it did before but still not gets cold. pretty much the same as before. They then oh so friendly contact you again the next day saying then the problem is worse they'll give you another quote but they won't charge you a call out, how nice.. This time it was for a "'PC Board replacement"...quote 1600 rand. Labour 400 ) On inquiry at 2 different honest repairs outlets it was confirmed that this was a **** or non existent part. (Documentation available for quote with "'part number") ON inspection it was confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the sensor or fuse and that the old parts were not even replaced. And that in fact the problem is also not the "'PC Board" but something simpler and much much cheaper. Address www.fixitt.co.za. They even claim to have a physical address I wonder about this now too. This is an almost clever trick to sound like other more established servce providers with similar names and if I were them I'd worry about association. Forget about communicating with them . Or getting your money back unless you try legal avenues.
