Fixit - a huge disappointment
We recently had work done by Kevin and his team from fixit. The work was started in October after we accepted initial quote to paint the inside of our house. It started well and Kevin and his team were very pleasant. I worked from home to be present and I became concerned that the workers were unsupervised and took exceptionally long lunches and teas and finished early most days ! We did add more work to the initial quote but the supervisor who I only saw occ at the end of each day for a few minutes assured me all was fine. However as the 16 th dec approached the more I realized they wouldn’t complete all the work and were rushing x I only saw Kevin ( owner) three times in the space of then numerous weeks work ! They also agreed to do a paint technique that they had no experience with x On the 15 th dec they ‘completed ‘ their work and Kevin didn’t see the final product x during the renovations they had damaged the electric fence and our antique chai as well as firewood holder. Kevin was not aware of this . The stairs and a few doors were painted poorly and the loft stairs glass was not put back x Kevin sent us a huge bill and wanted immediate payment before holidays to which I asked for a detailed ledger of costs. He was unable to provide this and was not entirely happy to acknowledge incomplete work x we decided to pay him50% and in new year to address all issues outstanding and unsatisfactory. Kevin was not happy and harassed us on numerous occasions x To sum it up Kevin reported us to debt collectors, never resolved the issues and was borderline harassing us and we suspect damaged our new trelliddor which faces the road . It has been the worst experience in house renovations we have experienced and would strongly advise people to think twice before using this company.
