Absolute and total ********

Fixitt The Appliance Repair Centre. Omg total ********. Blown me away at how dishonest they are. Had issue with my dishwasher (wasn’t draining) and fridge door. They came checked dishwasher and told me I needed new drain pump motor. Quoted me R1499 for new part. Told me fridge door wasn’t repairable and would cost approx R15000 to replace. Called Bosch to check and was told door could be repaired. Bosch engineer came charged R2500 and fixed door in 45 mins. Then bizarrely get email from Fixitt telling me door could be replaced but would take 12 hours of labour and cost me R5600 not including parts. Didn’t now trust them at all so went direct to AEG in Joburg and bought the “R1499” part for R400 plus R100 postage. Fast forward one year later. Dishwasher still not “fixed” Called in AEG / Electrolux engineer. Only to find that drain pump motors hardly ever fail. Mine had not failed. Instead it was highly likely something small had got lodged in the motor. I’m guessing Fixitt guy removed whatever was blocking the motor and then decided I was a woman and he would rip me off by telling me I needed a new motor. AEG has just left. Put my dishwasher back together and said there was nothing wrong with the drain pump motor. In fact there was sod all wrong with my machine. I have been totally and completely had. Avoid this company at all costs.
