# Disappointing Claims Experience – Poor Communication, Delays and Complete Lack of Customer Care I am extremely disappointed by the way my uncle's accident claim has been handled by King Price and its appointed service provider, Fixico. Following an accident approximately three weeks ago, a claim was lodged with King Price after both of my uncle's tyres were damaged. After some back and forth, we were informed that the claim had been handed over to Fixico, who contacted us about a week later requesting photographs of the vehicle and the damaged tyres. We submitted everything they requested promptly. We were then informed that the assessment would take **2–3 working days**. Unfortunately, that promise was not honoured. Days turned into more than a week with absolutely no communication, no update, no explanation, and no indication of what was happening with the claim. Had I not repeatedly followed up with King Price to report that Fixico was completely unresponsive, I genuinely believe we would still be waiting today. Only after King Price intervened did Fixico finally make contact. What is most disappointing is that every important update has had to come from us chasing them. We have had to make the calls, ask the questions, and request information that should have been communicated proactively. My uncle relies on his vehicle daily. He was attending an important conference and, because of these unnecessary delays, had to make alternative travel arrangements despite his policy providing for a courtesy vehicle following an accident. This caused avoidable inconvenience and unnecessary stress. Even now, the communication remains unacceptable. We have been advised that a courtesy vehicle will be provided and that the vehicle is due for repairs on Monday. However, nobody from Fixico contacted us to explain who would collect the vehicle, what time it would be collected, where it would be taken, or what the repair process would look like. I had to call Fixico myself to ask these very basic questions. During today's call, I was told that someone would contact the repair centre and call me back before the close of business with the necessary information. That call never came. What made matters worse was the dismissive attitude displayed during the conversation. Rather than feeling like a valued customer whose concerns mattered, I was left with the impression that my enquiries were an inconvenience. This entire experience has highlighted serious shortcomings in communication, customer service, and claims management. Delays can happen, but keeping customers informed is the absolute minimum standard any insurer and its appointed partners should meet. At this stage, I would like King Price to urgently: * Investigate how this claim has been managed by Fixico. * Provide a clear update on the status of the repairs and collection arrangements. * Explain why agreed turnaround times were not honoured. * Address the repeated communication failures that forced us to continually follow up ourselves. * Restore our confidence that this claim is being handled professionally. Insurance is purchased for peace of mind, especially when accidents happen. Unfortunately, this experience has delivered the exact opposite. I sincerely hope King Price treats this complaint seriously and ensures that no other customer has to go through the same experience.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the service we have received in relation to our recent claim submitted through King Price Insurance and the repair quotation process managed by Fixico South Africa. As customers, we believe that a company’s standards are reflected in the quality of service offered and the ability to make clients feel valued, confident, and willing to return or commend the company for its work. Unfortunately, our recent experience has fallen short of these expectations. Specifically: We submitted a claim through King Price Insurance and reviewed the repair quotation provided by Fixico South Africa. Despite our efforts to obtain clarity, we have not received any feedback or updates on the way forward. Attempts to follow up have been met with silence, which has left us feeling ignored and dissatisfied. This lack of communication and accountability reflects poorly on both King Price Insurance and Fixico South Africa. As paying customers, we expect timely, transparent, and professional service. We request urgent feedback from Fixico South Africa, particularly from the representative (***), regarding the next steps in our repair process. We also urge King Price Insurance to ensure that its service partners uphold the standards that customers expect and deserve.
