Fitkey app promises the world and then casually changes their mind... *******.

I (along with MANY other people I know around Cape Town) have just joined what I thought was a really incredible app, known as "Fitkey" - this particular app appealed to the likes of me, and many other keen fitness fundis around the big city, due to the fact that FINALLY something slightly more "affordable" was available to us all, and not only that, but it allowed you to finally mix up your fitness regimes and attend many different gyms / classes each week (but only 3 times per month, so the studios weren't losing out). They claim it's a massive saving - but this is only because fitness studios / gyms in this country are EXORBITANTLY priced, along with everything else of course; but yes it's more affordable.

I received an email this morning after just one week of being signed up - stating that the existing R650 per month memberships that included unlimited classes per month (which is what made the app more appealing than most memberships available at this price and why 99% of the people around the city joined it) is now AUTOMATICALLY updating to R700 per month, and allowing the memebers only 10 classes per month.. THAT'S 2.5 CLASSES PER WEE**** How is anyone supposed to keep fit / lose weight and get the healthy lifestyle they require exercising just twice per 7 day weeks???

To top it off, if you want to remain on the unlimited package that was originally offered on this app and the reason everyone signed up in the first place, you just need to CASUALLY pay R1000 per month now. THAT IS R350 MORE PER MONTH OUT OF NOWHERE!!! What average person in this country can afford R1000 per month just to exercise along with the neverending list of expenses required to purely survive? I am disgusted actually.
