WARNING - Fitbit Charge2 incompatible with Huawei P9Lite

WARNING - the Fitbit Charge2 is NOT compatible with the Huawei P9Lite!!!! Fitbit should be well aware of this because the internet and Fitbit Forums are awash with complaints from unsuspecting victims who wasted their money on this device. The device is useless without the app. The app does not function without the firmware and the firmware does not download on the P9Lite. And just to be clear, this is not a complaint about the Huawei P9Lite, but about Fitbit.

I bought my Fitbit from Dischem, and not on line, because I wanted advice from a knowledgeable sales person, exactly to avoid the above type of issue. Needless to say, the phone compatibility issue was not mentioned. To their credit, Dischem reimbursed me with a voucher to the value of the Fitbit.
