Fitbit Ionic Recall lies in media

On 16 August 2022 I recalled my Fitbit Ionic as per the PR releases published in March 2022 on Gadget, Stuff, Hypertext, The South African, My Broadband and numerous other publications.

It's been 15 weeks and every time I contact support they apparently "need more time". Fitbit global disconnected my watch - I am stuck with a R6000 watch thay doesn't work and a useless app that I pay R150 per month for. The article promised a $250 voucher within 6-8 weeks. I have a feeling that this is not true and that I have just lost an expensive watch as a result of a brand making unmet promises. I do not recommend the Fitbit brand at all.
