FITBIT CHARGE 5
Charge 5, DON't I have had about 7 years of Fitbit tracking - the charge HR, then Charge 2, the shorter-lived Surge, and the Versa. When my Versa seemed to pack up, I upgraded to the latest Charge 5, with fairly good reviews and exceptional extras. I ordered my device from Amazon -- the fun started the day after I paired my tracker. It would not sync, and I was given online directions. It took ages for the device to resister steps (no other measurements) and I restarted, even performed a factory restart. I turned off all my bluetooth devices, I re-paired the device (which at one point it wouldn't do. Now I get asked (a week later) what OS my phone is one: meanwhile the Charge 2 picks up and relays info to the Fitbit app. I have an absolute DUD of a tracker -- it still isn't working, despite following -all the truble shooting tips. (To get active steps recorded on the device, for my interest (details not sycned to the App) I had to restart my tracker twice. (On a 25 minute walk it recorded 12 Zone minutes, for about 3 km.) It is inaccurate, and faulty. It's prohibitive to pay shipping back to Amazon for a refund. All I want is a device that does what it's supposed to, but NO, i get a roundabout treatment from Facebook, and NO RESPONSIBILITY from Fitbit that the device is a dud - as could be seen by my online profile. I have been stung. Dom't, Just don't. The follow up is great until a real problem is found, then avoid, deflect. The attitude which comes across is "***** you". Fitbit might work well Ffor the US markets: I've bee stung. A pity I let brand loyalty put me of Garmin.
