If I could give a negative rating, I would. Last year I purchased a Fitbit Versa for my partner. She had owned it for less than a year, when it first started giving her problems. First, the device would not sync to her app meaning any data she got from steps was useless. She contacted fitbit, and they sent her a replacement which was fine. Second, her strap broke - again she contacted fitbit and they gave her a replacement strap - also fine. Third, the replacement device that they sent her has since been faulty too - the battery runs out within a few hours as opposed to the 5+ days that it is supposed to last. At this point she had gone back and forth with endless problems that she asked Fitbit if she could just get a refund, or if they could send a better model. They said this wasn't possible but that they would have the faulty device couriered to them for repair. She sent it via DHL and waited for a month. After a month, Fitbit returns a "repaired" device. This "new" device is covered in scratches, dents, chips and cuts. It is clearly not new so she emails them to tell them they have sent her a second hand device, only to receive the response that "your product is no longer under warranty" and a link to other Fitbit devices that she can purchase.
While Fitbit was initially helpful, they have since been totally unhelpful and have made it seem as if she is to blame for being dissatisfied with a badly damaged second hand product. They are not offering the option of a refund or an upgrade and it is impossible to speak to someone who can help. I will never purchase another Fitbit product again after this service. If your product is faulty, don't even bother sending it to Fitbit because the next one will be faulty, and the final one will be a bashed up second hand dud.
