Bad Quality, Disgusting Service

I purchased a Fitbit Alta in June 2016, at not a very cheap price. The strap broke and I contacted Fitbit through their website. I received an email telling me to take it to the store where I putchased it with the slip and original packaging if it was still within warrantly.

I took it to the store on a Sunday, and they couldn't do anything as it was a Sunday and the Fitbit Rep was not available. On the Monday, I received a call from the store, telling me that Fitbit said the strap does not fall under the warrantly and that I must purchase a new on at R499.........Seriously, if it was a good product, it should not have broken.

I eventually receiveed a call from a Fitbit rep telling me he would investigate. I promplty posted onto their Facebook page, and they told me to log the request through the website, which I had already done.

I responded to the email and got nothing back. After about a week I received almost the same response as the first time, however the grammar and spelling mistakes are just shocking. I rpomptly responed to this email, and was told that I needed to send in the "hole"unit as it is one unit. This makes no sense to me, as the straps ar detachable, andhonestly I don.'t trust Fitbit with my device, after all of this.

I have complained and emailed numerous times, now I am just being ignored. It seems they have no respect for their customers, probably because they dominate the market. This is disgusting, all I want is a replacement strap, that I should get as it is still under warranty.

I honestly shooudl have gone with my gut and got the polar fitness tracker, as I do not believe that they would have such a lack of customer service.

Unfortuantely Fitbit is too big and too dominant to give a damn about their customers and reslove any problems. an honestly say I like my device, but would not recommend anyone to purchase a Fitbit
