No GYM bags allowed in the GYM!?

I am writing to FIT24 PMB Athlone on behalf of myself and many others in the gym. There seems to have been a change where GYM bags are not allowed in the GYM any longer. This is beyond absurd. What kind of mentality must one posses where I go to a sport shop to buy a GYM bag and yet cannot use it in FIT24 GYM? I use gym shoes too, must I now leave those at home as well? The reasoning given by the floor staff is "It is a health and safety issue" How on earth is it an issue of health when we sign wavers and there are a million other items to trip over in a gym. To have to carry a towel, weight belt, boxing gloves, ear pods, wallet/gym card, cellphone, car keys, water bottle, skipping rope, resistance bands etc all separately is an extreme tripping hazard as well as a risk of these items getting ****** when one turns their back to start a set. To put all these items in one single bag is the only thing that makes sense. The lockers are for our after shower clothing/shoes but we have to have all these other items with us when we train. If it is an issue of health, how is a bag unhealthy but all my items strewn across the gym floor for people to *****, walk over, trip and/or crush any healthier? Once again I reiterate, the mentality of their being no GYM bags allowed in the GYM is beyond comprehension. The FIT24 Athlone branch is so slack with staff arriving late and us getting messed around having to wait and waste our only training hours in a day as well as the sewage pipes leaking, broken equipment left for weeks unattended to as well as the gym changing from a 24 hour policy to a normal gym which is a breach of contract etc are clearly not an issue in the eyes of FIT24 but a gym bag on the floor is completely unacceptable? To everyone at the FIT24 Athlone PMB branch we want VALID answers to this nonsense rule ASAP.
