Fit24 Gym in Ballito

This review relates specifically to the Ballito gym. I cannot speak for any of the other gyms within the group. Simply put, don't join this gym. The fees may be cheaper in comparison to other gym companies, but a base level of service should still be demanded. At last count, 6 machines are out of order, one of which has been 3 months. Others are now approaching 2 weeks, the majority of which need broken cables replacing. How difficult can it be to replace a cable? The same day? For months the saunas or steam room did not work although these have been repaired recently. The roof leaks resulting in buckets placed on the gym floor. There are big problems with the plumbing, and the gym is often without water, although recently contractors have been called in to fix these issues. The aircon does not cope in summer weather and the gym becomes a sauna. The urinals often smell badly which points to little or no cleaning. A small thing but there is often no soap in the soap dispensers. Management often cannot be found when I train at peak time, and quite honestly I do not think they are doing their job anyway. I have noticed a drive to recruit new members, which makes me wonder if the gym may not be in financial trouble. If so, I would suggest any new members do not sign up and pay in advance for an extended period, no matter how attractive that may be. Come on Fit24. You started off well 3 years ago but now the wheels are coming off. You need to up your game and then maybe new members will join through word of mouth.
