Terrible food from Fishaways Umgeni and even worse feedback

Myself and my colleague placed an order through Fishaways Umgeni Morningside via Mr D delivery

To our office in Umgeni Road, Morningside, Berea

We ordered 2 x small hake and chips with 2 x extra tubs of Tatare sauce

Despite us only being 1km from the store, the food arrived very cold , the chips were stale and were a mixture of cooked and raw (That's what we get for ordering early) we received the smallest portion we have gotten from Fishaways (We are weekly regulars) and our sauces were wrong (Which we paid for) Our lemon was also missing in one of the meals and it looked like our food was thrown in the packet.

We are extremely dissapointed. We purchase fishaways at the office twice weekly. We usually order from Suncoast but we decided to give Umgeni a try this week and our meal was not worth eating

Upon the owner phoning us , we were told that because we ate the fish , we were not entitled to a replacement meal. And because we didn't keep the raw chips as evidence , we weren't entitled to a refund. He said he would pass the message onto his staff.

We did not ask for a replacement meal , but a refund would have been the correct thing to do. Maybe atleast an apology? Instead we received a call from a man who sounded irritated to be speaking to us

We won't be supporting this business again
