Fishaways, over priced and poor service from head office. KFC is more food for less money!

On 30 April, 2025, I visited my local FishawaysinHarrismith and bough 1 x Good Life Meal for One and 1 x Good Life Meal for two with one card and 8 x prawn sandwich sushi on a different card, hence order numbers 118 and 120. I had to wait extra long for my sushi and when I eventually got home and opened up my meals, I was shocked to see the poor size of chips, which were under-cooked and hard by the way, 4 strips of calamari and a piece of fish. The three meals worked out on R289.00 and some cents. My sushi was R86.00 and some cents.

So I decide to email them and sort it out in-house as I respect them and I have always received great service. I was asked to take my receipts to the store and would be helped and that is what I did. The friendly lady who helped me didn't know what to do exactly, so she asked me to write down my delivery address and phone number on the back of the receipt (which she kept) and told me that she would contact me the following day to arrange whatever she was instructed to do. Well, that didn't happen.

So I have sent them yet another email explaining my frustration and I pointed out the fact that a KFC Streetwise five (5 pieces of chicken and a regular chips) and a All in one family feast (6 pieces of chicken, 1 x coleslaw, 2 x mash and gravy and a regular chips) costs less than the under-par meals that I've bought from Fishaways. It is almost a month later no response and I decided to let the public know, since Fishaways (under the same house of Wimpy and Mug 'n Bean) clearly couldn't care less. The next step shall be on social media and the radio, as that won't be a problem for me at all.
