Something Fishy at A AAFish Restaurant UmhlangaA AAa

On 10th February I took 10 of my work colleagues to dinner at Fish Restaurant in Umhlanga. When the bill was brought to us I noticed that we had been charged for an extra bottle of wine that we had not received! A new bill was presented which I paid. In order to secure the booking a few days before we had to agree to a deposit of R1000 against our credit card, as the hotels do all the time, and I queried this, only to be informed that the owner had already processed the transaction previously and taken the R1000 which was also not going to be refunded as we had booked for 15 people and only 11 had arrived. At no time in the evening did the owner talk to us about being short of patrons and about to be penalised, or even bother to ask if we thought his food/restaurant were satisfactory! Our waitress did ask however at the beginning of the evening if anyone else would be joining us and she was informed that no-one else was coming and she could use the extra chairs/table for anyone else she needed.We will not support this establishment again as well as make sure as many people as possible are warned to be extra vigilant when dealing with this type of individual.
