FirstShop Refusing to refund my money
I recently bought 5 memory modules from First shop and added an extra 1 to make the total 6 units . The 5 units looked like the ones advertised in their site however the last one didn't .
Their return policy says 14 days , but when I told them and sent pictures of the modules and my need to return . They first made we wait a week before arranged for the unit to picked as they said . The return needs to be approved . Already their return policy and their actions don't match . Unit was eventually collected and apparently it still needs to assessed . When i follow up and ask for the matter to be escalated , the lady handling this just ignores my requests . What frustrates me even more is that their supplier doesn't even take that long to give them a credit note once they received it. with 48 hours its sorted .However they trying their best to not give me my money back .
Takealot , Geewiz , Incredible don't even behave like this when its time to refund a customer .
Our team has been actively engaged in supporting your return from the start, with all steps aligning with our 14-day return policy. From the date of your order for the 1 RAM module to today’s scheduled refund, the process has taken 9 business days, including necessary steps like pickup, assessment, and refund submission. This timeline is often standard, and our team has consistently provided updates and follow-ups to keep things on track.
Regarding the module itself, physical differences can indeed arise due to manufacturers sourcing from various suppliers (e.g., Dell works with partners like Samsung, Hynix, and Micron). This does not affect performance or compatibility, but I understand it can be unexpected.
Our priority is to ensure clear, fair processes for every customer, and I hope this response provides transparency for those considering our services.
Thank you for your patience as we finalize this matter, and please reach out if you’d like further assistance.
