At RMB Don't complain about any service because there simply is none.
There had been a security breach on my account approximately one month ago and I contacted RMB and reported it with the undertaking that an investigation will follow and they will get back to me. Needless to say the card was cancelled, the profile deactivated on the online platform and an allegedly investigation proceeded with.
I have no access to the account nor has any feedback been forthcoming a month later. I pay approximately R600 a month for banking services which services are just completely non existent. It truly and honestly just does not exist. I am lucky if my private banker, one Richard Filer even gets back to me as the moment matters get confronted - these bankers completely disappear.... like ninja dust! What is next now I want to know as it is nearing the end of month. I have to use the card details to get into the account to arrange my funds for payments of my home loan and security services etc and there is simply no developments. I have literally no access to the account without a card.
On the last occasion when a similar situation arose during Covid, a card (after being ordered) did not arrive for almost two weeks - in which weeks I then sat without any access to any funds as the branches of FNB were closed due to Covid. The questions now arise a week before month end .... Do I receive a new card? and if so, by when possibly in 2023? How do I deal with my obligations? They simply do not care about any of your obligations or to render a basic service on their part whatsoever. The only way forward is to move everything (including a homeloan) to another bank which will have enormous cost implications for you ... not to them - on the other hand you cannot complain about any service because there truly just isn't any. Stay away as far as possible, it is simply a joke of a bank.
