Good work by Andries Seloane from First Road
My car broke down on Saturday evening (9 April 2016) at around 21h00 on the N1 to N4 spilt going to Witbank. My insurance company was taking a long time to assist and I was standing already over an hour in the dark. My two children and wife were with me and we were quite helpless. A policeman stopped and offered to help. He made contact with Andries Seloane from First Road. Andries arrived very quickly and assessed the situation. At first he was unable to help as he only does accident assistance. When my insurance company finally came back to me around 23h00, the cost of assistance to tow us and transport us to Witbank was going to be in the order of R4300. Andries saw we were distressed and desperate and offered to tow my car to Witbank at a much cheaper price. We squeezed into Andries tow van and my car was pulled to Witbank. We reached home safely. Who knows how long more we would have waited until we got help. Andries didn't have to help us, but made a plan for which we are very grateful.

We were very concerned to learn of the poor experience you received from your insurance when you were in need of towing assistance, may we ask with whom you are insured?
However, on the flip side, we are very happy that Andries was able to come to the rescue and that he managed to get you and your family home safely.
I am sure if you present the invoice for towing to your insurer you would be able to request some form of reimbur*****t for costs incurred
