First Road agent *****ing from car while he towed it. No action.

After my husband and I were in a vehicle accident on the 6th of December 2016, a First Road tow vehicle was the first one on scene. We agreed that it would be towed to an approved assessment centre in Centurion, namely Auction Nation. The First Road driver as well as the Discovery Insure agent agreed upon this assessment centre. After that the vehicle was HOWEVER towed to another assessment centre, namely Renew-It Rivonia!!

We insisted that it be moved to Auction Nation Centurion that we agreed upon on the day of the accident. The vehicle was only towed from Renew-It to Auction Nation on the 30th of December 2016 by First Road again. The driver, Bennedict, completed the checklist on the required First Road Tax Invoice/Delivery Note at Renew-It before towing the vehicle to Auction Nation. On this original checklist the “Spare Wheel” option was ticked, indicating that there was a spare wheel when he picked up the vehicle at Renew-It. When the vehicle was delivered to Auction Nation the copy of the original checklist completed at Renew-It that indicated that there was a spare wheel was altered and the tick was changed to a cross!!!!! The spare wheel was ******. The fuel cap cover was also broken off and missing (maybe to ***** the fuel, I don’t know) and the rear windscreen wiper was also damaged!!!

This clearly happened while the vehicle was being towed from Rivonia to Centurion. The tracking device in the vehicle shows that the driver stopped for almost 10 minutes between the pick-up point and the drop off point in Woodmead drive. This detail was discussed and emailed to Nicky de Lange from First Road, but until now no action has been taken AND no-one has accepted ANY responsibility!!!!!!!!!
