Our weekend at Magalies Park time share resort was marred by electric shocks from the cold tap in the shower.<br> NO properly connected earth leakage should allow that.<br> Shower drain was blocked, so it was necessary to stand in ankle-deep water.<br> The general handyman was sent to replace the earth on the geyser. This is simply not good enough.<br> A LICENSED electrician should attend to such matters.<br> Management NOT interested. Does someone have to be electrocuted before proper attention is paid to the wiring?<br> First Resorts should be re-named LAST RESORT.

Dear Ruth,
Thank you very much for the feedback regarding your stay at Magalies and would like to apologise for the inconvenience during your stay.
Regarding the cold, we do experience a very cold winter, and the appliances in the chalet, are only effective when the heat is confined(Doors closed-1 x AC per chalet).
The dishwasher unfortunately had a leaking pipe, which only could be repaired once removed, hence we replaced the dishwasher.
In a very rare and unfortunate event, the earth wire on the geyser was corroded and broke off, resulting in the slight shocks experienced by the shower taps.
I can confirm that each department has a Duty Manager on standby and will address the problem why he/she was not contacted as you requested.
I would like to apologise for not fulfilling your expectations during your stay and you are welcome to contact me to access Magalies as a day visitor for the inconvenience caused.
