First resorts - Not even as a last resort

FIRST RESORTS - NOT EVEN A LAST RESORT!First resorts ****** me of 2 timeshare weekends in Margate {La Cote dAzur} and Chakas Rock. we had booked these 2 weekends all the way back in March and received the 2 confirmations promptly. When the week finally came up we wisely phoned to check the weather, the parking, loadshedding times & preparations, water, soap, shampoo etc. (we once checked in after 5 pm in the berg to find the units without soap and shampoo, the nearest shop 7 km away & closed till the next day.} Imagine our shock when they falsely alleged that We had cancelled the Margate booking! If this was true they would have been obligated to send us a cancellation certificate, yet they never did, nor had proof of ever sending an email.! {gotcha} When my wife informed me of this debacle of daylight ******* I made repeated calls to but all were UNANSWERED to both their numbers. And I sent multiple emails multiple times to multiple people at both First Resorts and TISA, now VOASA, with No response till the day before we were to leave.What they did on the day prior to our "restful break" was Cancel my Chakas Rock booking and book us at Margate Sands.My wife refused to go there with this last minute change, especially as our friends had booked at La Cote dAzur. SO WE LOST BOTH OUR WEEKENDS! And Vina Phewa exceeded her authority and refused my reasonable request of a replacement weekend. And don't be beguiled by TISA (Timeshare institute of South Africa) VOASA despite their name they are not there to safeguard our interests, but probably merely a Public Relations whitewash front for all the timeshare sellers with no teeth or authority to right matters as this message will prove. Any assurance of self policing is as sincere as a fox assuring us they'll take care of our chickens, or the ANC telling us they wont loot our funds. Only fools believes timeshares are an investment and not white elephants or albatrosses round our necks.VOASA, tell us honestly how many Timeshare owners have just cut their losses and relinquished all rights, not even able to sell their units at at half what they paid. In fact, after this sour debacle I want First Resorts to buy back my points, & I will update you'll on the pittance they offer.and will post pictures of some of my units they gave me over the years. Most so bad I checked out within a day or 2! Once a tiny unit, formerly a staff unit.Once A unit below a dancehall with music blaring till after midnight some units and bathrooms so small that they are dangerous. some bathrooms so small that the towels are kept within a foot of the toilet and are polluted with each flush, (so close lid b4 flushing)doubt the staff do though bushmens nek - lovely, but too far out of the way, too cold and so hard unforgiving rock roads that will give you a puncture. I had 1 puncture & the staff helped me change the tyre in the rain. Another guy wasn't so lucky, he had two punctures and was stranded! Quantwani - lovely, but too far and remote. After driving for 2. 7 hours you come to a dirt road and you still have another hour of 30kmh driving to do on dirt roads La Rochelle & MST are superb but 1 unit at MST has a ghost!Oh, we dont believe in ghosts but when you feel a very oppressive presence after midnight... Would it surprise you that even though I registered many times I cannot make booking on their website and lose out on specials & have to pay extra for bookings I have emails & pics as proof And the list goes on. 1st message was truncated.
