First Resorts Bushmans Nek Directors

We went on holiday to bushmans nek underberg kzn south Africa. It's was last year for the womens day holiday weekend. I finished school and drove there straight. We were exhausted and retired to our beds by 10pm.

Fortunately my daughter was awake and noticed the raging fires everywhere. She got us up and I assessed the situation and told my family we need to leave now.

We could have all died that night. No fire alarms... No ground staff came and got us up. We phoned my sister across from us... They too were asleep with an 18 month old child.

All our belongings burned. Ground staff frantically as well jumped into any vehicle and tried to escape.

No one alerted us to the runaway fire. There was a weather warning for the area for runaway fires for that weekend. No one from the resort told us.

We lost 3 of our cars and all my hiking equipment.

The resort management has failed to take responsibility for Not getting us up. They also absolve themselves from all damages incurred to us.

Sad how such an establishment was not able to even get their guests us to leave prior to the fire. Approximately 11 cars burned.

I fell and tore a muscle and damaged my shoulder. I had to undergo surgery. Absolutely horrorfic experience and the resort just stays sill. We have a survivors chat. Over 30 of us. All tell the same story.
