Money mongers,selfish employees and very rude

On the 10th of January I terminated my contract for end of the month due to relocation, so I was told I will forfeit my deposit.I accepted that,so I moved out. I was surprised to notice that I was charged for February when I send my complaint Angelique who is very very rude,responded that I gave late notice and i need to pay for February. I had forfeited my deposit already so why am I being charged for February. Why was this not communicated to me when I was told I would forfeit my deposit,why was I not told that you will also be charged for the next month even though you won't be staying at the residence.
