Zero consideration for clients

I have had a personal account, along with many other service accounts from FNB for many years, business accounts, vehicles etc. My experience has alwasy been the same. No respect for their clients.

I have had my cheque account for 28 years. This account is now their elite "Private Banking Account". There has now been some debit order that has been loaded onto my account which I am not happy to have on my account. I called my private ********** and politely asked that this debit order be stopped. She unfortunately advised me that she cannot do this as it is an FNB debit order. One that does not belong to me, but nevertheless, an FNB debit order and therefore she can do nothing. That I must take it upon myself and contact the person who owns this account and have it removed. FNB should respect the wishes of their long loyal customer and remove the debit order. However they chose not to. As a result, I have had to stop putting money into this account as I would be paying for someone elses debt. As a result my account has fallen into arrears and keeps growing in arrears monthly. So much so that this account has now been handed over to collectors, with the account balance still growing with arrears, and my name now entered into the credit bureau for something that FNB refuses to resolve for their client. My name is being dragged through the mud, I have to still pay for the monthly fees on the account. I cannot use the account. I cannot stop the debit order. I really have no option here to resolve the issue. Unless FNB expects me to pay all the arrears, pay for someone elses debit order, and then close my account? Is this the kind of service we expect from a banking industry that claims theier service is amongst the best in the country? I think not....

This is the first outcry publicly made over this, I will shortly be taking this to other forms of social media. I am also very sure, other banking industries would love this sort of information.....
