Zero accountability for FNB's own malicious actions

On the 3rd of August 2017 FNB closed my private bank account without a single notification or warning. The account had been inactive for 15-20 days or so and when I was about to deposit money into it, discovered that it simply wasn't there. I have spent 4 hours of airtime on hold, and spoken to over 13 people at call centers, all of whom say that they cannot help me, nor are they escalating the problem further. The Premium Desk manager **** to me, and said they were within their rights to close the account, when I KNOW that I have 90 days to do something about my account. I am told I must go into a branch, but cannot until mid-September due to work obligations. When I call for help, I'm met with arrogance and I'm treated like this was my fault, when FNB had no right to close the account - the entire exercise has trashed my credit record and my debit orders have all bounced, resulting in legal firms contacting me and I've been put i serious trouble because of FNB. So to sum it up: - FNB closed my personal Platinum cheque account with no notifications, texts, calls or emails to me. - I have spend 4 hours of airtime speaking to call centers, spoken to 13 people who all say they cannot and will not help me. - No one has attempted to escalate the problem, which has been in effect since 9 August, when I first discovered the issue. - I've informed FNB that I cannot go into a branch to rectify this myself (which shouldn't even be my responsibility), in which case I'm told that nothing can be done for me. - The experience has destroyed a credit record that I have worked very hard for several months to rectify.

Overall FNB has created a living financial nightmare for me, for no reason, and no refuses to take responsibility for what they've done, not even so much as an apology or the escalation of this issue.

This is the worst experience I've had with a bank in my entire life and I'm preparing to go public with this story - since our money is clearly not safe with them, and we are treated like ********* when we contact them to find out what's going on.
