Your money is not safe with FNB

On Saturday evening 05/02/2022 my wallet got pick pocketed out of my handbag. The ******* proceeded to take my cards and spent over R5500 at two different establishments in East London early hours of Sunday morning. I am extremely upset that neither myself nor my husband received one single in-contact message or SMS that transactions were being conducted on our account, neither did FNB call either of us to report suspicious activity on our account. If I had received a message or SMS I would have canceled my cards immediately and the ******* would not have managed to ***** all the money out of our account. This is my hard earned money and I feel that FNB should re-imburse me the funds as it is due to a technical issue on their side that I did not get any messages and the ***** department never called me to check why there is suspicious activity on my account early hours of the morning.

After contacting the ***** department on Sunday morning ***-***, the consultant interrogated me and told me that the funds were ****** on 31/01/2022 and that I only noticed it in the morning of the 06/02/2022 which is not the case and untrue. She also proceeded to ask me if I am sure that neither myself nor my husband spent the money at those establishments. She wasn't very helpful and told me that the investigators will contact me in 7-14 days.

I am considering changing banks as I really feel like my money is not safe with FNB.
