Xenophobic Corporate

Me and my wife have been FNB clients for years and our accounts have met FICA requirements. We went to our FNB Branch in Main street Johannesburg to open a joint account. I app**** for a ZSP Permit in November and it has not yet come out. When I went to the department of Home Affairs they gave me a letter issued by Deputy Director General JW McKay waiving the permit requirement upon production of sufficient proof of application for the permit to be allowed to transact, which I did.<br> I was however not allowed to open the account and this to me does not make sense as I am already an account holder and had produced all required documents. I feel that FNB is either clearly disregarding the calls by the Minister or simply a Xenophobic Corporate. The actions by the manager on Duty as well were either out of ignorance, spite or hate. I was and am still totally gutted.
