Wrongly Cancelled debit order
On 18.06.2019 08:45 I phoned FNB call center and spoke to Pamela Gwala (***60572) to stop a Teljoy debit order of R422, this amount was credited to my account. On the 1st of July, I noticed that the Teljoy debit was collected from my account. On the evening on 2 July, I suffered a loss and phoned my insurance to submit a claim on the 3rd of July whereby I was notified that my insurance, Mutual and Federal had canceled my insurance becasue I alledgedly stopped my debit order. Mutual and Federal see a stop debit order as an immediate cancellation. I disputed this as I had not stopped my debit order, and went to FNB Silverton on the 3rd of July 14:58 where I was assisted by Dorothy Nek (F***). Dorothy advised me that the debit order for Mutual and Federal (instead of Teljoy) was stopped by Pamela and she escalated the matter to Pamela's team leader. To date (more than a week later), after many emails, phone calls and complaints, I have not received any feedback from either parties involved and subsequently had a vehicle accident. My insurer is refusing to cover my losses and reinstate my insurance. Since Pamela Gwala mistakenly stopped the wrong debit order and my insurer is not going to cover my losses- FNB should be held accountable. This is for a water damaged laptop and Iphone, damage to my own vehicle and a 3rd party vehicle. I would like for my situation to be dealt with as a matter of urgency.
