Wrongfully deducting interest fine

I am in the process of selling my property.

On 31 May 2017 I gave notice of the intent to sell my property to FNB Home via their ********** email address as specified in the contract signed in 2015. The only reply I received was that they will contact me, to date not one phone call or email.

To cover all grounds I sent the same request to the following email on 1 June 2017: ********** and still no confirmation.

In November 2017 the attorneys asked for the settlement figures. Included in these figures was a value for an interest fine. Again I sent the initial notice to ********** along with the initial contract signed explaining the following: "Please refer to section 4.16 of the mortgage loan agreement that I signed in 2015.

It does not state required notice period for selling the property, it only indicates that if I do or do not give notice the interest payable will be to the amount equal to the difference between 3 months and the period of notice of settlement (section 4.16.3 of contract).

Based on this I do not feel that any interest is payable by me in this regard."

AND STILL NO FEEDBACK.

I held on at the call centre for 17 minutes today with no answer.

They are fast to charge fines even though according to the contract I signed I followed all the required steps to give notice. But NO COMMUNICATION FROM THEM.

PLEASE CONTACT ME A.S.A.P TO RESOLVE THIS.
