Wrong sort code used out of pocket on holiday
For over 3 weeks we have been in the UK and been stuck without our money that FNB transferred to the UK for us.Centurion Lifestyle Branch of FNB captured the SORT code of the UK bank INCORRECTLY and now the funds are in the wrong person's account in Halifax Bank. We've been told by the FNB Centurion branch that its not something they can assist with and the Forex Dept says its not their problem either the branch must assist. After 3 weeks of spending a lot of money on calls back to SA and still no further about who to speak to and who can assist we sit without our money due to the ERROR the FNB Branch consultant made when capturing the sort code.<br> Please note the following FNB:<br> We have met with Halifax Bank who says they released the funds into the account of the wrong person acting on behalf of the international funds request from FNB<br> Halifax bank are not able to return the funds to FNB and states it was an error by FNB - which it is, according to our paperwork<br> The issue was brought to FNB's attention from the 14th January already with numerous calls and emails to the various departments from the UK
