worst service ever received from any company ever...and that's on a premier account :(

I app**** for a limit increase on my fnb premier credit card on Thursday 21 July. Reason being I wanted to book flights and accommodation for an October family holiday while the best rates were still available. I am getting a bonus at the end of Aug and planned on just settling the amount in full again. This is how things unfolded...and I really don't even feel like repeating this again but I think this is the only thing now that MIGHT make someone sit up and take notice....or not :(

app**** online Thursday 21 July, received an sms immediately saying my credit card has been approved....the wording didn't make sense

called Friday 22 July to query as I knew I hadn't app**** for a new credit card, was told the limit had been approved and the money would be available later that same day....nothing reflected

rreceived email Tuesday 26 July asking for 3 months payslips and a form to be signed and sent back....first time this requirement was mentioned but I

sent this first thing wed morning

called wed afternoon 27 July and after being cut off twice before finishing a sentence with an agent I mailed a complaint, received the standard response saying someone would get back to me one working day later

somewheree on between this I did get through to the limit increase dpt (after being cut off during the IVR a few times again) who told me it would take three working days from when my forms were received on wed/Thursday but promised that a) this would be escalated and b) someone would call me back so that I could lay an official complaint

sent another mail Thursday evening 28 July saying I no longer even wanted the increase anymore (I was just so frustrated!)

someone called me Friday afternoon 29 July at about 15:30 asking if I still wanted the increase because she got my mail. I explained my whole story and she acted like she cared, she asked if I would be available at 4pm for the final checks to be done...I said yes. I also again asked in addition for someone else to also call me to explain what exactly went wrong with this whole process and the service.

to date no phone calls from anyone again and no increase.

iam utterly gobsmacked

fnb just PRETEND you care at least?

more than a week later and the flights I had my eye on are obviously gone....u have really let me and my family down and if this is the supposed premier service I SHUDDER to think what the average service is

iam so disappointed I have no words but yet still took about half an hour to type this up....not holding my breath for a response though but in case you do a simple generic we're sorry won't cut it :(

paying the the credit card off in full and closing it the end of the month

:(
