Worse Service Ever.

On the 8th October 2021 I was given wrong information at Protea Gardens Mall (Soweto) that FNB is moving away from ewallet sms service as all ewallet will be accessible though FNB bank card.

I used to receive my ewallet like any other person without a card and from the incorrect information and threats that the services are canceled, I went inside the branch (Protea Gardens Mall) and explained what was said to me by the ATM.

No questions asked at the branch and the bank card was opened for me and I was told that there will be no charges from the card.

The issues started when I started to notice that there were charges from the card, I then lost the card and the second thing I noticed was that I cannot withdraw money from FNB ATM without that lost card.

It started to stress me now that anytime I received FNB ewallet I need to inconveniently buy airtime and ask anyone for their contact so I can ewallet them to get my money, that includes strangers as I sometimes got desperate at the ATM.

I went to the Cape Town Greenpoint brunch and I received contradiction information, one consultant said I can open another card for free and the other one said I will be charged R53 to open another card. I just lost faith in them and asked them to cancel and delete my information from their systems.

They said they could not delete my information and instead of solving my issue they logged a call to Protea Gardens brunch to sort out their mess, see below complaints number:

FNB General Complaint ref *** been sent to PoP Branch ***. A consultant will contact you within 24-48 business hours.

A call came through from Protea Gardens and the ladies on the call were not even professional neither new who they were calling as they kept shouting at the background and asking "who are we calling? What is this customer's name". Minutes later the Protea Gardens Manager then took the call and introduced himself and I explained my query.

The manager then said the Greenpoint brunch should have canceled the services without having to escalate my query to them and that he will have the services canceled, see below:

FNB :) Your Debit Card ending 3219 has been cancelled on 8 DEC 2022 at 16:57. For quer ies please call ***. FNB a Div of FRB LTD FSP 3071.

On the very date on the 8th December, Greenpoint brunch calls me and said I should come to the brunch to cancel the service and I told them Protea Gardens canceled already and the Greenpoint brunch said there is no way they can cancel without my presence.

I told them of the closest brunch at Bayside Mall and they said I can go to the closest brunch to cancel the service or go to Greenpoint as they know my query.

I then asked the for a compensation to pour petrol and drive from where u stay to Greenpoint FNB Brunch and I was told Senior management is the only ones that can authorize the compensation.

I was call a multiple times from unproductive conversations from Greenpoint FNB brunch and they end up buzzing me to make records of outbounds calls to the client.

I want to be compensated for the below.

1. incorrect information I got at Protea Garden that FNB is moving away from sms ewallet as everything will move to a bank card. 2. Contradiction information from Greenpoint brunch amongst each other that I can open another card for free and the other one said I will be charged R53, all this infornt of me and I was shocked. 3. Shift blaming and pushing my query to Protea Gardens instead of handling the query on site. 4. Protea Gardens for not coming back to and gave me feedback of the person that was scheduled to work on ATMs on my interval, I even said to them they can use the time stamp from my withdrawal after obtaining the card, they can just request IT for that footage or check the roster. 5. For being told I need to physically go to the brunch for cancelations and only to find out they cancelled without my presence, is it allowed? Was process followed?

I need feedback on this within 24 to 48 hours.
