Wish I didn't switch to FNB

So I decided to switch to FNB as I thought they are the best bank out there and the switching process would go smoothly.

This has been the worst experience ever and I wish I did not switch to FNB.

So last month I made the switch and went to the Vyneyard branch in Claremont to open my FNB account. I wanted a cheque and a credit card. I provided all the documentation and my accounts were open. I was waiting for my credit card to be active as I was waiting some time and then got an email about the quote and FICA docs for the card was outstanding. I sent the email with the information required. Few days later I get a call saying they are still waiting for the docs. How pathetic is that I am waisting all this time. I then forward the exact same email to the consultant confirming the address I sent it to was correct so not sure why and then he gets it and sorts it out.

Now I try to use my card and it gets declined. I speak to a premier consultant on the secure chat and he says everything is fine he is not sure why it declined and I must try again as it's a fusion account and sometimes the vendor chooses credit instead of cheque. Then I messaged again later that evening and spoke to another guy who eventually after looking says FICA docs are outstanding for both cheque and credit card that's why I cannot use anything. Why the hell do you just lock account without notifying the person I'm pretty sure that is against the law as its my money and less than a month after providing all doc's you again want to FICA. Are you guys competent enough to do your jobs properly? How can after a month of opening my account in a branch and giving all doc's you decide to freeze my account because of no FICA? Isn't it against the law to open a bank account without the proper docs?

And now it's the long weekend and I have no access to my funds. To think I was telling my wife to switch and to move my home loan. Thank goodness I didn't as her account would probably be in hold too and I wouldn't be able to feed my kids.

Worst fricken mistake coming to you. Even after uploading the docs again on Friday nothing can be done because it's long weekend so I have to suffer now because someone doesn't know how to upload or look at docs.
