Will not assist

On the 22nd October I purchased food from a store. The transaction was charged twice to my account. The merchant tried to reverse the one transaction in store, unsuccessfully. Eight days later and after numerous phones calls to FNB , who passed the buck saying I must phone Nedbank, as the merchant banks there. Nedbank said I must phone FNB, as I bank with them and the money is pending with them. No one at FNB is willing to help How long does it take to reverse a transaction?
