Why use a courier if it's going to take 100 years to deliver!

Good day I have app**** for a credit card on the 22nd of September 2017. I received an SMS on the 27th of September saying Mr D Couriers will get in touch to arrange for delivery. I got another one on the 29th. I've now been waiting for the delivery since the 29th. They didn't even bother calling to cancel the delivery that day. I could have been somewhere else but I waited for the delivery. Now I call them and then I hold for 30 good minutes before I hang up. Why are they not calling me if they have a problem? Why should it be me who's calling them. I've transferred funds to the credit card thinking it will arrive on the said day and now I can't transfer the funds back to my cheque account.
