Why offer a switch your bank service if you can only do part of the suite initially?

Dear FNB, currently a Private banking client at another bank and busy shopping around. App**** with you this morning and got approved for a Private Banking account but was told it only includes a Cheque Account without Overdraft etc and was also informed that I first need to use the account and get my salary paid into it before I can apply for that. So what's the point, I'm not going to pay Private Banking fees at 2 banks purely because I can't transfer my Overdraft/Credit Card facilities to my new Private Banking accounts.
