Why is it so difficult to open an account?

<p> I am so disgusted with FNB. I am trying to open a business account. I have already received my card but struggle to finally open the account because FNB does not want to accecpt my legal documents. I have my IRP 5 with my address, Payslip with my address, Marriage sertificate with my address, a letter from my landlord stating that I rent from him with his ID document. None of this are acceptable. Although I presented my bank statements and a letter from Standard Bank to FNB. They send me back to Standard bank because my statements do not have an address on it. When I asked what do the people from the informal settlements do to open an account, Lerato from FNB Preller rep**** that they only have to bring someone with. When I asked whether I can also just bring someone with the answer was NO. I was then given a document that I have to scan and send to my landlord for his signature. This is the easiest document to forge. I have to make a deposit of R5000 when I open the account. I have the money but FNB tries their utter best to make it as difficult as possible. I think I am rather going to stay with Standard Bank.</p>
