Why Elec Code not sent to me??
When I purchase electricity using Capitec's online system my electricity code is sent to me conveniently via SMS.
And I don't mind paying extra for that SMS - although I don't think they even charge extra for it.
...
So, stupid me, I ASSUMED that a so-called sophisticated bank like FNB would have a similar facility.
But my assumption made an ASS out of U and ME (ASSUME)!
FNB are so schmuck and really can't be bothered to go the extra mile with their clients. No Electricity code sent to me after online purchase ... I wait and wait.
So when my Electricity code did not arrive (even tho my account had been deducted, I naturally assumed (once again) that there was an issue with a system - either with FNB or the City of Cape Town.
Not having any other means to get electricity I had no choice but wait in the dark until the FNB help line was working during office hours.
Ant the very nice client advisor then shows me that I needed to drill down on the transaction where I could finally access my electricity token! WHAT A STUPID HALF-BAKED SYSETM.
Just because your staff have had the training and know where to look for these things does not mean that a NEW user does!!! WAKE UP FNB!
