Where is the integrity? Do you say you will FNB!

First of all: I have always been more than happy with FNB's products, services and innovation, however they seriously dropped the ball with FNB Connect.

I ordered an FNB sim card online and was amazed with how easy and user-friendly it was well done, unfortunately online is where that experience ended.

That Wednesday (two days after I ordered the sim) they sent an sms to say that it will be delivered in office hours that day. I work flexi hours (early till early) so I waited around for them, but eventually decided to leave. Just after leaving they phone me, but I was already too far away... and traffic (nuff said). I apologised sincerely and ask them to reschedule the delivery for the following day before 3pm. I was told that it is not a problem.

That Thursday 3pm arrived with no sim card so I phoned again - which by the way is now massively expensive since I cancelled my contract to move to FNB. They told me that they never sent the sim card out for delivery that day but that they will ensure delivery the following day and that they will phone me back to confirm. The problem was that I had to work off site the next day, so I changed the address to my home address which also required me to print copies of me ID and ask someone to wait there ALL day for the delivery WHICH NEVER SHOWED!!!! So I spent another weekend being charged out of bundle rates - which are absurdly expensive! I also spent that Friday frustrated on the phone with the cal center to figure out if it will be delivered. They promised to find out and phone me back...

Come Monday - I phoned again and got the same reply. "we will have to check whether the parcel was taken out for delivery, we will get back to you." This is where I lost my faith in your integrity. By then it was they 5th time I had heard that promise but I was never phoned back, not once! So, Monday came and went with another promise of a next day delivery and a phone call to confirm.

Tuesday: by 11 am I am worried because I was never phoned back, so I phone again only to receive the same empty promise (at least the call agents are trained well). By now it is needles to day but I WAS NEVER CONTACTED AGAIN!

FNB, in my opinion you have always been they best bank in SA and that is why this service is so disappointing because it made me doubt your integrity.

Hopefully, I will receive my sim card by 2018!

Hi Daffnie, I know this isn't your problem but I can't deal with this level of incompetence anymore. It is Thursday and I still don't have my sim! Yesterday, sure enough I got the phone call that the driver is outside my place of business, so I went outside and waited for him....FOR 20 MIN!! just to have him not show up. During this time I kept trying to reach him or anyone at the call center that can help....this was unsuccessful. So eventually office hours were up so I gave up and left (after another 40 mins). This morning at two minutes past 8, I phoned them to inform them that I am working from a different address today and that the sim must be delivered there. They promised to change the address and phone me back...YEAH RIGHT. And then what happens? They deliver it to my house, with no one there to receive it. Again costing me a ton of money phoning around to try and get someone to receive it. At the end (after I contacted the driver) we agreed to leave it in my post box, for someone to pick it up later. I hope it is still there... I cancelled my contract to switch over to FNB connect. This resulted in being charged out of bundle rates for which I will request a refund from FNB. ALSO I'd like to know what your plan is for the data and minutes I am paying for on the FNB sim but not not using, which also expires soon. Not happy at all, Hanlie
