What prompted me to move from FNB
A year ago, my property balance with FNB was R221000. I needed it registered on my name and not under joint ownership. FNB Home loans asked me to submit my divorce agreement to register it solely on my name. This is where the problems started.
The valuator valued the property at R200 000; which was below the sale price. He did not look at the market or municipal value. No action was taken against him for falsifying the value. FNB Home loans department took approximately 4 months to process my application. I had to constantly call and email them for feedback. My Premier Banker did nothing to assist or intervene.
Customers must move away from banks that offer you poor service. I moved to Absa and found their rewards program is fantastic, monthly fees are lower and service is honest and prompt.
