What happened to my father's money?

My father passed away in 2022 and he had a will with FNB and they were the executor. So my father's wife(not married in community of property)went to FNB and submitted letter of Authority and **** Letter of executor. FNB processed her claim and even allowed her to withdraw money from the account,how we don't know and FNB doesn't seem to have answers for us. Please note that my father was ******ed and his death certificate clearly states that he died due to unnatural causes. So how did FNB even process her withdrawals (more 1) if the case of his ****** is still on going? When we went to FNB we were told that they can't disclose as to how much in total was withdrawn from the account because he was married. They lawyer that is helping the wife with withdrawal is the same lawyer that was defending the accused in his ****** case. So how possible is that?
