What CoVid relief?
I am complaining about FNB and their CoVid 19 relief scheme ...
On Friday 22 May my company notifies me that I would take a drastic salary cut from 26500 a month to 12500 a month ... I go to the bank and they help me without any proof and give me R4K odd ...
On Monday 25 May I post my proof of earnings along with the letter that the company drafted, and there was no communication from them to review my 'loan'. I am now sitting nd waiting to see if all my debit orders willgo through with the money that is left in my account. If there is any debit order unpaid I will be very upset and take this matter further. Why offer the service and not help the customer?
1 June, I had my first unpaid debit order ...

Today I was called by African Bank as to why my debit order had not gone off ... I tell them that it is because I am adversely affected by Covid 19... On 22 May my company told us that we would have a drastic salary cut. My Salary was R26500.00... It is now R12220.36 before allowances and deductions ... How is the bank going to stop a debit order from being processed in 8 days? ... I tried to initiate a payment break, which as yet has not yet been processed. Tell me now what money must I use to pay the installment without falling into arrears. They wanted me to commit to a reduced installment, which cannot be done without adversely affecting my already adversely affected lifestyle.
You are the Bank that proclaims 'How can we help you'. Help me properly, like you would a faithful customer. When you say you would provide a 'loan' for 3 months I expected that it would cover any unpaid debit orders that I may have, not the answer I got regarding this matter that I must take it up with Cell C, the originator of the debit order.
Thank you for phoning me, but I am not satisfied with your efforts to help me at this time
