What a nightmare!!! A very disappointed customer

I really don’t know how else to get through to FNB regarding the issue with my title deed. I’m not sure what further steps I need to take. FNB has informed me that they have lost my title deed. Unbelievable!! No solid explanation as to how that happened. Now because the title deed was held as security for a personal loan in 1995, it was seen as a bond not a loan. “This was taken as a personal loan but registered as a bond.” (Quoting today’s response from FNB). My issue now is the fact that because they now consider this a bond not a loan, there are cancellations costs that I as a pensioner have to pay. Why was this matter not dealt with and closed in 1995/1996. No one is taking responsibility for the mess that was done by FNB. Instead I’m being pushed to attorneys and being told “ If you unable to pay the fees you need to make arrangement with attorney, or they can reduce their fees due to that you are a pensioner you don't afford.” this is their instructed attorney, why don’t they concluded this thing and hand me my title deed instead of now removing themselves and wanting me to deal with attorneys.
