Website Misleading the Public
Whilst upgrading my current package, proof of residence was required from FNB (even though I am a current customer with them). I went to their website to verify what would be regarded as acceptable - [URL Removed] - their website clearly indicates that an IRP5 would be acceptable - to may utter dismay (after going through the hole motion obtaining same) when the courier came to deliver may card, they refused to accept the IRP5 (stamped and signed by the payroll department). I spoke to a manager named Mandla whom confirmed that an IRP5 is not acceptable. I find this extremely frustrating and regard this as disingenuous as they say one thing on their public platform, but do the opposite. As an 'authorised financial service provider' I find it very scary that they can mislead the public so easily, whilst not even being held accountable - this to me is very scary indeed.<br> What a disappointment after being a client of theirs for more than 20 years.
