Wasting clients time... Poor service...

I recently opened an account with First National bank the Glen branch. Since opening this account I have had to come in for the second Saturday to do simple tasks for example to set up my banking app (again) setting up a simple thing like a pin number I have to come into the bank. Why ? Because the staff that assisted me kept ensuring me that everything is set up but in reality nothing of the sort has been done as there are many things to do before the app can be set up (like transferring 300 rand or more to an external account in order to activate the app which was never mentioned to me the first two occasions I was at the bank I would have done this to begin with if a staff member had told me this initially) but they just tell you in stages everytime you come to the bank instead of taking the time to do everything at once. I have had to see three different staff members in order to activate my banking app and change my pin. It is the first time I see such poor service when it comes to banking.

keeping client's happy is how you keep business, along with having a good relationship with your client. Good service retains good clients.

* Communication is key. Listen to what your client asks don't say yes yes yes in order to get the client out of the door.

* Set up check lists for staff members to go through with each client before they leave the branch in order for clients not to waste their time by coming into the bank for simple tasks.

* being polite while wasting your clients time is not a bonus for clients.

*new accounts should be treated the same as long standing loyal clients I assume every new account opened adds to the business development and growth?.

* No client is forced to bank with Fnb we choose to do so in the faith that we will be assisted in the right way and valued as a customer. There are many other banks who would be more than willing to gain our business but I myself have chosen fnb.

Yesterday was valentine's day I tried to use my new Fnb bank card for the first time for a few purchases but the pin that came with the card did not work. Thank Goodness I did not yet cancel my old bank card of which I have with another bank which I used to pay for the items I needed to purchase.

I would hope to receive a proper response and not a generic response such as "our apologies we will look into it"
